MWC President, Dr. Tasneem Shamim was honored to speak at “Sacred Circles: A Celebration of Women’s Spirituality” in the Washington National Cathedral on February 18-19, 2005. This interfaith convention brought women of all cultures together to share a common theme: Compassion. Dr. Shamim led a workshop on “Sufi Meditation and Conflict Resolution” where she discussed the healing power of contemplation. At the conference, she attended workshops about harmony and learned about different customs and philosophies.
